Very nice spot for a dinner and drinks. Very good prices and friendly staff. Visited few hours ago, family of 4, we ordered pork schnitzels and chicken cotlet with juices and beers and everything was delicious!
Prices are okay for Vienna, maybe a little expensive but considering the location it's normal. The food was nice, not amazing but not bad. The waitor was very rude and that's the reason I put 3 stars:)
Cozy place. Lovely terrace. Schnitzel was great. Service lady is very friendly, fast, clearly explains how food will be served and helps with choices. Prices are ok.
Definitely try it here.
Great location, nice spot but clearly customer service is an unknown word to them! Rude waiters!
The waiter got offended from me trying to order, as he looked surprised that he was working there! Apparently making him aware I wanted to order is something a customer shouldn’t do, rather wait in silence until he felt like taking orders. The Café should maybe do a basic customer service course for some of the waiters instead of them “beefing” with clients like 3rd grade kids..
The food was bordering okay, but the service was atrocious. My wife and I waited 20 minutes before a server even came to take our order. On top of that, it took over an hour for our food to come. Mind you we shared dumplings and there were hardly any other customers.
First: The food was nice and what you'd expect, a bit touristy but tasty. The location is very nice and convenient. But the service, let me tell you:
We had the misfortune to get the server that someone must have forced to work there. If you don't speak German don't expect to get nice service. Our waiter reminded me of the stone men statues of Easter Island, he had the same personality and hospitality as one of them at least.
Trying to order he spoke no English and seemed to understand very little of it. Fair enough, body language should do it. Luckily my partner speaks a bit more German than me as well. Still a rude stone server. We got through the ordering and he ran away to fix it. Coming with our drinks he asked it like a question when he said my preferred drink was not available and if a cherry lemonade would work instead. He worded it as a question but his face and the fact he left our table before we had time to react and answer showed us it was not a question, he had already decided it would have to work for us.
When it comes to paying for your food, low and behold, stone face did a magical crash course in English and made sure to both understand the customers and be understood by them. All of a sudden English was not a problem. He did however add a little extra on top of our bill for him self or he charged us for my original drink order while bringing out the cheaper drink he had decided we should settle with.
Go and eat there but make sure to not be served by the stone man server from Easter Island.
Great Austrian food!!
Outdoor area was excellent and staff were very friendly.
Very well-localized restaurant, at the city center. I had a Schnitzel, which was more than enough for one people, with potato salad. Service was okay. I will certainly come back.
